WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe the entire Bible is inspired by God and without error. The Bible is the authority on which we base our faith, conduct, and doctrine. See 2 Timothy 3:16
We believe the entire Bible is inspired by God and without error. The Bible is the authority on which we base our faith, conduct, and doctrine. See Matthew 28:18-20
We believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and shed His blood. We believe that salvation can only be found by trusting in Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection. We believe that Jesus rose from the dead and will return. See also Romans 5:1 and 5:8-9.
We believe that water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of the blood of Christ and a testimony to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. See Matthew 28:19-20.
We believe in the regularly receiving Communion as an act of remembering the sacrifice that Jesus made for us through dying on the cross. See 1 Corinthians 11:24-25.
We believe that by obeying God’s Word, yielding to the Holy Spirit, and being conformed to the image of Christ, every believer can have a growing relationship with Jesus.

Calvary Charismatic Centre (CCC) is a charismatic Pentecostal Christian church. It was formed as a fellowship of believers under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, with the supreme desire to produce committed Christians who will devote themselves to the teaching of God’s word, prayer, and fellowship as found in Acts 2:42 and equip them to fulfill the great commission of Matthew 28:19–20. Looking toward Jesus is the standard of our faith.
In 1984, God gave Ps. Ransford Obeng, the Founder and Senior Pastor of CCC, a vision to start a non-denominational English church in the city of Kumasi (the capital of the Ashanti Region in Ghana), which would spread the good news throughout the country and to the ends of the earth. CCC was officially inaugurated as a church on Sunday, April 7th, 1985, at the then Ministries’ Canteen, Adum, with over a hundred people in attendance. It was the very first in Kumasi. This was a church that was driven by a unique worship experience: contemporary Bible-based music, strict adherence to time, excellence, simplicity, and the modesty of the church leadership, with Christ-centered teachings and programs.
The direction received by Pastor Ransford Obeng was to reach out to the English-speaking residents, visitors, and students in Kumasi and its environs, cutting across cultural, ethnic, socio-economic, and language barriers.
The church later moved from the Ministries’ Canteen to the upper floor of the then-Guinness Wholesales building at Adum (aptly named The Upper Room), from where it relocated after three years to its own first permanent facility at Buokrom in 1990. The construction of the current facility at Ayigya, with over 8000 strong members, commenced in May 2005, and on Sunday, April 12th, 2009, the church’s maiden service was held at this new church complex by the grace of God.
Ps. Ransford, together with the leadership, has partnered with others in planting over 500 churches throughout all the regions of Ghana and beyond. This third decade of the CCC has seen aggressive missionary church planting activities, with local churches established all over. The church has also sent missionaries to the U.K., USA, Jamaica, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, and Senegal.
Today, the CCC seeks to continue to be a model New Testament church, chosen to be a blessing to the nations of the world in Christ Jesus. This is demonstrated by speaking only blessing and only the truth, living to please Christ, loving in purity, practicing true faith, reaching the unsaved, giving to missions, and making Christ the center of our focus in all things.
